THE SALVATION ARMY EXISTS TO SHARE THE LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST, MEET HUMAN NEEDS AND BE A TRANSFORMING INFLUENCE IN THE COMMUNITIES OF OUR WORLD

ABOUT CAMP SUNRISE

Camp Sunrise, a ministry of the Salvation Army, was founded in 1925. Located in Gibsons, BC, next to the Langdale ferry terminal, Camp Sunrise is just a short 35-minute ferry ride away from Horseshoe Bay.

Camp Sunrise hosts summer overnight camping programs for children and youth across BC. Our campers sleep on bunk beds in cabins giving them that treasured summer camp feeling while still offering the conveniences of home. Activities include swim time in our outdoor heated pool, zip line, climbing wall, ropes course, archery, sports, arts & crafts, field games, musical activities, campfires, and more!

We also offer rental of our facilities for a variety of functions including retreats, business meetings, weddings, memorial services, and other external group events. With our oceanfront setting, mountain views, and private forest, Camp Sunrise is the perfect setting for your retreat or family vacation.

Whether by fun and adventure, or by simply sitting in the magnificent beauty of creation, we strive to provide a safe, accessible, and accepting sanctuary where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can come to experience a refreshing and renewal of spirit through meaningful relationships with each other and with Jesus Christ.
